COVID19 Vaccination and Pregnancy
  1. Recommendations: Yes
  2. Evidence:
    1. Currently limited data on COVID19 Vaccination for pregnant is available, and Pfizer has started a largest trial (ongoing)
    2. All experts agree there is no evidence to suggest that any of the COVID-19 vaccines are likely to have adverse effects on pregnant women or babies.
    3. The American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) states as vaccine is not a live virus therefore pregnant patients should be encouraged to receive vaccination based on eligibility criteria.
    4. Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) states that vaccines are safe in pregnancy and pregnant women can choose to have them following consultation with the physician.
    5. The UK’s Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) states that pregnant and breastfeeding women can receive the COVID-19 vaccine
COVID19 Vaccination and Fertility
  1. Recommendations: Yes
  2. Evidence:
    1. The American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) states as vaccine is not a live virus therefore patients undergoing fertility treatment and pregnant patients should be encouraged to receive vaccination based on eligibility criteria.
    2. Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (RCOG), states that there is no evidence that the current vaccines would cause any impact on women’s fertility and should be offer to pregnant at risk of exposure
COVID19 Vaccination and Pre-existing conditions
  1. Recommendations: Yes
  2. Conditions :
    1. Hypertension
    2. Diabetes
    3. All heart conditions
    4. Asthma
    5. All other lung conditions
    6. Liver disease (stable)
    7. Kidney disease
    8. Chronic infections, provided they are stable and controlled.
COVID19 Vaccination and Immunocompromised Persons
  1. Recommendations: Yes
  2. Currently limited clinical data available
  3. Immunocompromised individuals can receive COVID-19 vaccination if they have no contraindications to vaccination
  4. Persons with autoimmune conditions who have no contraindications to vaccination may receive an mRNA COVID-19 vaccine.
  5. Persons with a history of Guillain-Barré syndrome may receive an mRNA COVID-19 vaccine unless they have a contraindication to vaccination
  6. Patients on immune-suppressant medications may receive it (Consult your physician)
